DIY Tie-Dye Galaxy Shoes

DIY Tie-Dye Galaxy Shoes
McKenzie-@chicvintage34

Hey! Sorry I haven't been on this account for a while!:)

Materials:
- Tulip Tie Dye Kit

- Tulip Surface Cover

- Tulip Soft Fabric Paint in Marine Blue and White Velvet (from a previous project)

- Sponge or Sponge Brush

- Paintbrush

- Cotton Canvas Shoes

- Gloves

Steps:

1. Wearing gloves, add water to the dye bottle to the fill line to the magenta and blue dye. Replace cap, and shake until the dye is dissolved. Pour about 1/8 of the magenta dye bottle onto a plate.

2. Run the shoes and laces under water until fully wet. Take your sponge and dab on magenta dye around both wet shoes and laces. I like to leave sections of the shoe un-dyed. Run your sponge under water, continue until it is fully clean. Soak water into your sponge and brush water onto both shoes. This creates more of a watercolor effect with the dye.

3. Pour out about 1/8 of the blue dye bottle onto the same plate. Mix the colors well with your sponge brush to create a purple dye.

4. Brush the new purple dye onto the shoes. I stayed mostly in areas that had deep magenta sections, giving it a purple highlight. Again, run your brush under water until it is fully clean. Then, brush on water to create the watercolor effect.

5. Onto a new plate, pour out about 1 tablespoon of navy fabric paint (I used Tulip Soft Fabric Paint in Marine Blue from a previous project: Floral Denim Shorts). Then, add about 3 tablespoons of water to water it down. Take your clean sponge brush, and add touches of blue to both shoes. Again, run your sponge under water until it is fully clean. Then, brush on water onto the shoe to create a watercolor look.

6. Take a regular paintbrush and flick the white fabric paint onto the shoes to create a starry look.

7. Use your paintbrush again to accentuate some of the stars by painting a few starburst lines. Then, let fully dry

Taking care of a Cat
- Anusha (@die-laughing)
Hey lovelies, I'm free all spring break so I'll be on alot. I've been begging my parents for a cat but the only thing stopping them is,my mom's scared of cats. But I know a little bit about cats cause my cousin has a cat & she's the cutest thing ever.

- Find a particular breed of a cat that suits your lifestyle & your home.
- House train your cat as soon as possible
- Feed your cat, cat food that is low in preserves.
- You will need to brush long hair cats daily & short hair cats weekly.
- Take your cat to the vet every year for a checkup.
- If you want to brush your cats' teeth, you will need a soft-bristled toothbrush and veterinary toothpaste.

Healthy Hair- Hair Mask

Three months ago - 403 views
Healthy Hair- Hair Mask
Hey girls, this is the first tip I've done in a while so bare with me. :) This is kind of simple but it is so helpful and makes your hair SO much healthier. <3

Ok, this is a homemade hair mask. For those of you that dont know, a hair mask makes your hair healthier, adds more shine, reduces split ends, and makes it way more soft!

YOU WiLL NEED;

1 egg
1 tablespoon of mayonnaise
half a teaspoon of olive oil
1 teaspoon of honey

1. Brush out your hair and make sure it is tangle free.
2. Mix together all of the ingredients listed above.
3. Take a little at a time, (just use your hands, its easier than trying to like brush it on your hair) and add it ONLY to the ends of your hair. No higher than about two/three inches up your hair.
4.Comb your hair again while the mask is sitting in your hair. (I recommend using a comb because the mask will wash right off of the comb, as if you used a hairbrush it would be way harder to get off of it. So I definitely recommend a comb!)
5. After combing, let the mask sit in your hair for about 20 minutes. Relax for a little while, read a magazine, watch some netflix, or get on Polyvore to pass time while you wait! :)
6. After at least 20 minutes has passed, you can now take a shower and wash out your hair! Make sure to wash it good so your hair doesnt smell funky because of this mask. Lol
7. Enjoy your new healthy/soft hair <3

Hope you guys like and even try this tip!

Sorry its not very long, but I dont have much time.
